I think that in this essay, I did a good job of giving context to the essays I worked with in the introduction. I also put them into the overarching conversation that I was taking a part in. In terms of quoting, I realized that putting huge block quotes is a waste of space, and that I would benefit from trimming down my quotes and leaving only the crucial information. When I set up quotes, I described what the quote will be talking about, and when I explained them, I noted what the quote was actually saying. One example in project 2 where I think I selected, integrated, and explained a quote well is on page 2, in which I used Barclay’s formula to draw parallels between what was said in Pollan’s and Wallace’s essays. I remembered to come back to my own thesis at the end of the paragraph.
