In project 1, citing sources using MLA guidelines wasn’t a struggle of mine. Though of course, local errors have been made and fixed over the course of revising this essay. Regarding the evaluation of this essay, it was noted that it was proofread, and that I made a serious attempt at MLA formatting. I believe that this is definitely true. However, one of the most common local revisions I had to make was removing unnecessary commas. There are probably still too many commas in project 2; it is a very bad habit of mine. In a specific example from project 2, I changed the date from “28 March 2023” to “16 April 2023”. I learned that the date you put on your paper is supposed to be the date the paper is due, not the date you started it. Over the course of the class at large, I’ve become more comfortable with quoting. An aspect of this is becoming more confident at omitting sentences and words from quotes, which happened during the course of writing this essay.
